Early Morning: Departure from Montagu-Robertson
Your day starts with an early-morning pick-up from your accommodation in the Montagu-Robertson area.
Travel in comfort in our private, air-conditioned 4×4 as we make our way through the beautiful Klein Karoo towards the private game reserve near Montagu.
We aim to arrive at the reserve at approximately 09:00, ready for your first guided game drive.
Accompanied by an experienced guide, explore the reserve’s diverse landscapes while looking for wildlife in its natural environment. Along the way, enjoy coffee, snacks and refreshments, while your guide shares fascinating information about the animals, vegetation and unique ecosystem of the Klein Karoo.
Midday: Lunch & Leisure
After your morning game drive, enjoy a delicious lunch at the reserve’s restaurant, with locally inspired dishes and beautiful surroundings.
There is also time to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the reserve before your afternoon safari. Take a look around the facilities or browse the curio shop for a special souvenir of your day.
Afternoon: Second Game Drive
In the afternoon, set out on your second guided game drive, exploring another part of the reserve and experiencing the landscape from a different perspective.
Keep your eyes open for wildlife, including some of the reserve’s more elusive species such as brown hyena and aardvark, as well as the possibility of seeing klipspringer and other fascinating Karoo species.
Your experienced guide will explain the fascinating relationship between the reserve’s wildlife, vegetation and landscape, giving you a deeper understanding of this unique part of South Africa.
As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the spectacular views across the rugged Klein Karoo and the Langeberg Mountains.
Evening: Return to Your Accommodation
After the afternoon game drive, we leave the reserve before sunset and begin the journey back to the Montagu-Robertson area.
Expected return to your accommodation: approximately 18:30.

About the Private Game Reserve
Set at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, this approximately 6,500-hectare private wildlife reserve is located near Montagu and is reached via an adventurous off-road route.
The reserve encompasses a remarkable variety of landscapes, including valleys, ancient riverbeds and succulent-rich terrain within the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Reintroduced wildlife includes the Big Five, while the reserve is also home to fascinating species such as aardvark and klipspringer.
